Nigel Pereira-Steckel

I have spent more than twenty years designing, delivering, and leading learning and development programmes across both private and public sector environments. My work has always been driven by a belief that learning should be practical, human, and transformative, enabling people to grow in confidence, capability, and purpose. I bring a depth of experience in shaping leadership development for individuals and groups, from emerging talent through to senior executives navigating complex organisational challenges. My approach to training delivery is grounded in systemic thinking, reflective practice, and a commitment to creating psychologically safe spaces where people can learn, experiment, and stretch themselves. I design and facilitate learning experiences that are engaging, evidence based, and directly connected to real organisational needs. Whether I am working with a small leadership team or a large cohort of professionals, I focus on building insight, strengthening capability, and enabling people to apply their learning immediately and meaningfully. Across my career, I have led large scale learning functions, including Global Learning Services for forty‑five thousand colleagues at British Airways, where I shaped leadership development, performance transformation, and capability building across multiple business areas. In the public sector, I now lead People Capability and Assurance for the United Kingdom Home Office, where I continue to embed leadership development, coaching, and reflective practice into the fabric of organisational life. I have designed and delivered leadership curricula, apprenticeship programmes, and assessment frameworks that support people at every stage of their development. My facilitation style is relational, thoughtful, and grounded in real world experience. I help individuals and groups explore their strengths, challenge unhelpful patterns, and build the confidence and clarity needed to lead with integrity and impact
