Layla McKenzie

Through my unpaid role as a high school ambassador, I gained foundational experience in leadership, communication, and community engagement—skills that are directly relevant to a therapeutic support setting. I worked closely with younger students and families from nearby communities, helping foster welcoming, supportive interactions while representing my school in a professional manner. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, listen attentively, and engage empathetically with others, and it motivated my interest in pursuing hands-on learning opportunities in mental health and online therapeutic environments.
