Apeksha Bhutada AThR DMT Creative Arts Therapist | Dance Movement Therapist Apeksha is a Creative Arts Therapist and Dance Movement Therapist with over three years of experience supporting wellbeing across youth, disability, aged care, and community health settings in India and Australia. She is a Certified Practising Counsellor (PACFA) and holds a Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her work centres on creating safe, inclusive spaces where individuals and groups can reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and each other through movement. Apeksha designs and facilitates movement-based wellbeing programs that support emotional regulation, stress reduction, self-awareness, and social connection—without requiring any prior dance experience. Apeksha’s approach is trauma-informed, person-centred, and strengths-based, allowing her to work sensitively with people of varying abilities, backgrounds, and life stages. She has facilitated both group and individual sessions with neurodivergent individuals, people with disabilities, older adults (including those living with dementia and Parkinson’s), children, youth, and working professionals. Her sessions are adaptable for workplaces, community organisations, educational institutions, and healthcare settings. By integrating movement, creative expression, and reflective processes, Apeksha supports mental wellbeing, resilience, and meaningful connection in a way that feels accessible, respectful, and grounding.
