I am a qualified educator and lecturer with a BA (Hons), PGCE, and MSc in Psychology, as well as a psychological coach, and I'm a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS). My career has spanned teaching, higher education lecturing, and applied psychology, with specialist expertise in supporting children and young people experiencing emotional, behavioural, and educational challenges. Alongside my academic career, I serve as Assistant Educational Psychologist (AEP) and trained Children’s Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (CYP-WP), delivering targeted interventions for children at risk of exclusion, in residential care, or accessing alternative education. As Wellbeing lead of my service provision, I oversee a registered children’s short break and educational support service, coordinating tailored tuition, systemic family support, and motivational interventions. My work is grounded in trauma-informed and CBT-based approaches, enabling children the required skill to develop and achieve desired outcomes. I also work as a consultant, running parental intervention workshops and seminars, and speaking at events to share strategies that help families overcome barriers to wellbeing, behaviour, and learning. I have extensive experience collaborating with schools, families, and multi-agency teams, ensuring consistent pathways to positive outcomes. With a strong foundation in criminology and psychology, my passion lies in bridging education and wellbeing—empowering disadvantaged young people and their carers to thrive. My long-term goal is to continue to support children and families ,fostering a long lasting connection between education, wellbeing, and family resilience.
